INEQUITIES

There is ongoing debate about equity and equality.

We look at reliable statistics and see significant inequity in certain life outcomes, such as education, discipline, incarceration, home ownership, poverty, career opportunities, healthcare and wealth.

These inequities exist because of many reasons.

Some individuals may have made bad choices.

Most inequities appear to be systemic.

Many people may feel nothing can be done.

We believe people can do something to help themselves overcome these inequities.

The Movement can help to organize communities to provide the support and guidance to help members overcome inequities.

We start with education, because we believe education is foundational to improving all inequities and improving the well-being for all people.
